Senior epidemiologist with more than 18 years of experience in healthcare practice, teaching, and epidemiological research. Computationally oriented with strong R and Python programming skills and proven experience in epidemiological and machine learning research methods applied to diabetes, cancer, and infectious diseases. Experienced in observational methods, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, and computational epidemiology such as NLP methods and applications of machine learning in evidence syntheses, disease risk profiling, and health care prognosis prediction. A strong advocate of data visualization, published about 50 peer-reviewed articles and served as an associate editor or peer-reviewer for over 30 international medical journals.
